A group of nonprofits working to address homelessness across El Paso County want some suggestions for getting the job done. The Coalition of Homelessness Advocates and Providers - otherwise known as CHAP 2.0 - will host its next evening meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the City Auditorium, 221 E. Kiowa St. The forum's organizers plan to offer residents a chance to voice their opinions and suggestions for addressing homelessness - an issue that continues to grow across El Paso County. An annual homeless count in January found more people living homeless here than at any time in the last decade - exceeding even those counted at the height of the Great Recession.
