STAMFORD-Police are investigating the claims of a Stamford man who reported to police that he was beat up and robbed of three pair of designer sneakers worth $1,000. Sgt. Chris DiCarlo said police were called out to Summit Ridge Road in North Stamford Sunday night on the report of a 21-year-old man saying he had been robbed. DiCarlo said the man, who had three pairs Adidas Yeezy Boost sneakers, was looking for a buyer for the shoes on a social media platform.
