Man Killed By Fountain Police Officer In Home Shooting

Fountain police officers were involved in a shooting about 2:40 p.m. Thursday, the Fountain Police Department announced. Officers were dispatched to a disturbance call on the 700 block of Legend Oak Drive, and were involved in a shooting when they arrived. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has been notified to respond under the police department's officer-involved shooting protocol. A man who lived in the home was shot by an officer, police said.
