Regarding the letter to the editor (on Jan. 22) that criticized Michelle Obama for not attending Donald Trump’s inaugural ceremony, I would remind her that Trump, prior to his election in 2016, continually insisted that President Barack Obama was not a citizen because he was not born in the United States.
Trump went so far as to allegedly send a team to Hawaii to seek Obama’s birth record.
