LEONARDTOWN, Md. (AP) — The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office say a man accused of breaking into a Leonardtown home and assaulting the resident has been arrested. Deputies say 27-year-old Matthew S. Hurry of Mechanicsville was arrested Nov. 1 in Nelsonville, Ohio. Local authorities say Hurry waived extradition and was returned to Maryland last week. Officials say on March 19, someone forced open the front door of a home, assaulted the resident, stole items and fled. Hurry is charged with assault, burglary and other offenses.
