MOUNT CARMEL — A Hawkins County man accused of holding his girlfriend against her will for three days, while allegedly beating, smothering and choking her during that time, was arraigned Sept. 20 in Hawkins County Sessions Court on charges of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault. An order of protection was also issued against the accused, Joshua Matthew Griffin, 26, 274 Wolf Laurel Lane, Mount Carmel, and he was released from the Hawkins County Jail on $2,500 bond The crime is alleged to have occurred over the weekend of Sept.
