By W. Derek Russell Daily Journal TUPELO – After more than 65 years of bringing live entertainment to Northeast Mississippi, the Tupelo Concert Association closed in 2015, passing the baton on to Nashville company Live on Stage to book regular performance events. After one season, Live on Stage will no longer continue to produce live shows for the area. While both groups declined to officially comment on the decision, an email from Live on Stage cited that “the concert association in Tupelo is non-existent this year, therefore no concerts are scheduled there for the upcoming season.” In their inaugural season, Live on Stage Tupelo featured a lineup of such acts as The Diamonds, country-music recording artist Billy Dean and R&B vocalist Mike Farris.
