After a somewhat lackluster start to his UCF career, quarterback KJ Jefferson spent much of his preparations for Sam Houston State with a renewed sense of purpose. The fifth-year senior got off slowly against New Hampshire last week, missing six of his first seven pass attempts before settling down and finishing 7 of 14 for 164 yards with 2 touchdowns and an interception. “I didn’t put my best foot forward last week,” Jefferson said of his performance in UCF’s 57-3 win over the Wildcats.
