KINGSPORT — Four pitchers combined to limit Danville to five hits and the Kingsport Mets snagged a 3-1 Appalachian League victory over the Braves on Tuesday night at Hunter Wright Stadium. The Braves (20-33) failed to get a hit over the final five innings. K-Mets pitcher Jefferson Escorcha (7-1) was good for four of those innings, earning the decision in the process. Nick MacDonald struck out two of the three batters he faced in the ninth for his second save. Kingsport pitching totaled 11 strikeouts — Escorcha and starter Junior Santos each tallied four — against just one walk.
