James Brooks was arrested for methamphetamine possession Feb. 17 during an Indian Land traffic stop, his second drug arrest in a month and the fourth since the November 2016 charges that cost him his county school board seat. According to a Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office incident report, the arresting deputy said he watched Brooks drive his pickup out of the Food Lion parking lot in Indian Land and cross the centerline on Shelley Mullis Road.
