Increase Expected In Labor Day Visitors To Nh

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire is expecting about 545,000 out-of-state visitors for the Labor Day weekend, up slightly over last year. The Institute for New Hampshire Studies says those visitors are anticipated to spend about $78 million, up by 2 percent over last year. The Labor Day Weekend is the second busiest holiday weekend of the year in New Hampshire, after the Fourth of July. The state Division of Travel and Tourism Development says most of the visitors for Labor Day weekend will be from New England, New York state, and eastern Canada. Canadians will continue to visit New Hampshire at higher levels than last year because of tax-free shopping and new higher duty-free limits on purchases made in the United States.Read more on NewsOK.com
