MIAMI GARDENS — The Hurricanes’ game against Ball State, which was originally scheduled for 3:30, was delayed for more than two hours due to lightning in the area. The Hurricanes did kick off at 5:55 p.m., shortly after UM coach Mario Cristobal spoke on the Hard Rock Stadium public address system to thank fans for sticking it out. The game was delayed once due to lightning shortly after 3 p.m., and players came back on the field for warm ups at 4:15.
