House Democrats Amend Colorado Public Pension Bill To Address $32b Shortfall

Colorado Democrats made big changes Monday to a bill to fill a $32 billion hole in the state's pension plan for public employees, an issue still in a partisan fight that's likely to play out more before the session adjourns in three weeks. Senate Bill 200 passed the House Finance Committee 10-3 Monday evening after more than four hours of debate. "This isn't perfect," said Finance Committee Chairman Dan Pabon, D-Denver, who co-sponsored the bill.
