Hoover Retirees Losing Health-care Benefit

Hoover Co. retirees are going to have pay for their health care starting in 2013, the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Appliance maker Whirlpool Corp., which owned the former North Canton-based Hoover before selling off the brand in 2007, said Medicare-eligible retirees will no longer receive Whirlpool-paid supplemental medical and pharmacy coverage starting that year, the paper reported.
