Similar Stories to Hazmat Crew Says Air Quality Ok After 'suspicious Envelope' Found At U.s. Rep. Carter's Savannah Office; Police K-9 En Route on Bing News

A hazmat crew and police K-9s were called to U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter’s office in Savannah on Monday morning after staffers there reported receiving a suspicious letter. Nothing alarming was immediately found, officials said. Savannah Fire & Emergency Services responded to the Republican congressman’s southside office shortly after 10 a.m. to conduct air quality tests. Hazmat crews testing the air quality around the envelope — which reportedly had some type of powder on or in it — found conditions to be normal, said Mark Keller, Savannah Fire spokesman. To be safe, K-9s were called to sniff the envelope.
