ROGERSVILLE — Schools across Hawkins County recognized Superintendent Appreciation Month in November by performing charitable acts in honor of Director of Schools Steve Starnes. Among the schools that participated were: Church Hill Intermediate In December, students at CHIS will be collecting canned and nonperishable food for the local emergency food pantry. CHIS also created cards of thanks for Starnes and delivered baked goods from Patsy’s Bakery to the Central Office for Starnes and his staff. Bulls Gap School Bulls Gap School honored Starnes by holding a coat drive.
