A 39-year-old man from Groves died late Wednesday after his motorcycle was struck by a pickup on Texas 347. The wreck occurred at about 10:40 p.m. near 7th Avenue, according to information from the Department of Public Safety. Police say the driver of the 2013 Chevrolet truck was pulling into a private driveway on Texas 347 when he failed to yield right-of-way, hitting the passing motorcycle. The 46-year-old truck driver, also from Groves, was arrested on a charge of intoxication manslaughter.
