Beyonce Bea had 21 points and 17 rebounds as the Panthers moved a step closer to the 2A Greater St. Helens League title with a home win. The Panthers (12-4, 8-0) can clinch a share of the league title Tuesday with a win over Ridgefield or a loss by second-place Woodland (4-3). Washougal coach Britney Knotts said her team has a one-game-at-a-time approach. But that doesn’t mean the Panthers aren’t savoring each win as they roll through league play, having outscored opponents by an average of 27.6 points per game. “We’re trying to ride the wave of excitement, but still stay grounded and pursue those bigger goals we want to achieve,” Knotts said. Washougal has allowed an average of 36.5 points per game in league play.
