A development site in Lincoln Park has traded for double what it fetched two years ago. Jeff Shanahan, a local income-restricted housing developer, sold his 1530 W. 13th Ave. property earlier this month for $12.5 million to Atel Street LLC, according to public records. He had planned to build nearly 200 apartments on the 1.4-acre site. The deal works out to $205 a square foot for the land.

Trump wasted no time establishing the "Department of Government Efficiency" (DOGE). Announced after his win in November, DOGE promised to "provide advice and guidance from outside of government" to help roll back bad regulations and slash government spending.

Ross Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road, was unconditionally pardoned by President Donald Trump. Free Ross UlbrichtPresident Donald Trump granted Ross Ulbricht a full and unconditional pardon on Tuesday. Ulbricht founded Silk Road, an online drug marketplace. In 2015, he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

With the strides Colorado has made in adopting electric vehicles, state officials believe it’s “full speed ahead” on realizing state goals even if federal incentives are rolled back. Colorado edged out California in the third quarter of 2024 to take the nation’s top spot for market share of new electric vehicles.

Three new inductees are heading into the Greeley Stampede Hall of Fame. Bill Hall, Jerry Pickett and the Norcross Family will be inducted into the Hall of Fame as its 2025 class, the Stampede announced in a news release. “The legacy of the Greeley Stampede is built by dedicated people that are passionate about our community,” Stampede CEO Justin Watada said in the release.

The RK Mission Critical building at 17450 E. 32nd Place was acquired by The Koll Company, a California-based real estate company, for $15.8 million. The over 142,000-square-foot, single-tenant industrial building in Aurora is the company’s first acquisition in Colorado since 2007 and marks the seventh state in which they own property. “We are excited about expanding our portfolio to the Denver market in Colorado,” said Scott Meserve, principal of The Koll Company, in a Tuesday news release. “This market’s fundamentals ended 2024 strong with low, decreasing vacancy rates, sustained leasing activity and strong positive absorption outpacing new supply for the first time in 18 months.
