CRANSTON — A fire at an Eleanor Slater Hospital building in the Pastore Center on Wednesday forced the evacuation of 39 patients.Randal Edgar, a spokesman for the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals, said a fire broke out in an external wall between the second and third floors of the Adolph Meyer Building on Wednesday morning.Nobody was injured, and the 39 patients have been moved to the Arnold Conference Center, Edgar said.
