Fire Destroys Rv In Colorado Springs; Occupants And Pet Escape

A family and their pet was able to escape an RV fire early Wednesday morning. The RV was parked along 3020 W. Pikes Peak Ave. when it caught fire about 4 a.m., according to tweets from the Colorado Springs Fire Department. Two people and a cat were able to escape the flames, the department said. One of the occupants was taken to a local hospital, but suffered only minor injuries, the department said. Firefighters are investigating the cause. Read more on Colorado Springs Gazette
