Sega has announced that the classic fighting game series Virtua Fighter will be coming to Steam for the first time with Virtua Fighter 5 REVO, a remaster of the 2006 console battler. Described as “The Ultimate Edition of this legendary game”, REVO. features completely upgraded 4k graphics, multiple gameplay modes such as Arcade or Ranked Matches, improved network support for multiplayer matches, and allows users to create their own custom online tournaments or leagues with up to 16 invited players. The extremely high-energy trailer shows off each of the game’s 19 playable characters, including some absolutely iconic fighting game names like Wolf Hawkfield, Jeffry McWild, and Brad Burns.

SafeRent Solutions, an AI-driven tenant screening platform, has settled a class action lawsuit filed in Massachusetts. On Wednesday (Nov. 20), U. S. District Judge Angel Kelley gave final approval to a $2.3 million settlement agreement. The lawsuit alleged that SafeRent’s AI algorithm unfairly assigned lower scores to Black and Hispanic applicants, as well as individuals using housing vouchers, compared to other prospective tenants. However, the settlement does not include any admission of wrongdoing by SafeRent Solutions.

Path of Exile 2 is the next hotly anticipated action RPG by Grinding Gear Games. At a recent early access preview event, the developers confirmed that there will be no offline support for the game. During a Q&A session, game director Jonathan Rogers stated: “We are an online game with a secure economy so online play is required.” He then went on to reiterate this, adding: “There will be no offline mode as this is an online game, and as such everything has been designed around that, especially our currency system.” In late October, the developers announced that the game’s early access launch was being delayed by three weeks due to issues with server infrastructure, made much more crucial to solve before launch by the always-online nature of the game.
