LAKE IN THE HILLS – Police responded to Huntley District 158's Marlowe Middle School Thursday morning after a report that someone had brought a weapon into the school. The so-called weapon turned out to be a replica military firearm that a uniformed veteran brought in for the fallen soldier display ahead of tomorrow’s Veteran’s Day ceremony, Principal Henry Soltesz said in a notice to parents. The display consists of the replica firearm, military helmet and dog tags.
