Ex-police Officer Pleads To Civil Rights Charge In Pub Death

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A Buffalo police officer has pleaded guilty to a civil rights charge and resigned over his actions the night a patron was shoved down a flight of stairs at a Buffalo pub two years ago. Investigators say Eloff had claimed that the witness interfered with him inside the bar and refused to leave when directed, but surveillance video showed otherwise.
