Harrison Township Supervisor Ken Verkest sustained a minor injury after the car he was driving was struck from behind Wednesday evening by a young motorist who fled on foot from the accident scene on Hall Road.Verkest was driving to an event with his wife, nephew and other relatives when they encountered a traffic backup on Hall Road west of Romeo Plank Road in Macomb Township about 6 p.
