Effingham County commissioners are scheduled to visit nearby recreation complexes on Thursday to get ideas for the central recreation complex they’re planning on Ga. 21 south of Springfield. During the daylong trip, the commissioners will look at the county complex in Screven, Diamond Lakes in Augusta, Southern Pine in Dublin and Mill Creek in Statesboro. They also plan to hold a workshop about the new complex, tentatively set for 4 p.m.
