COEBURN — Eastside set the pace early and never let up on the way to a 3-0 nondistrict volleyball sweep over Lee High on Wednesday. The win was the second in as many nights for the Lady Spartans (2-0). Eastside took a five-set win over Holston on Tuesday. The loss was the second in a row for Lee High (0-2) which dropped a decision to Rye Cove on Tuesday. EARLY CONTROL Eastside jumped ahead in the first set and never trailed in the first two sets on the way to a 25-12, 25-20, 25-13 win over the Lady Generals. Power on the front line helped Eastside take control from the start. Anna Whited led the Eastside attack with 14 kills, seven digs and four service aces in the win, while Kaylee Yates had six kills. Tinley Hamilton had 13 assists for Eastside.
