ST. CHARLES – Overdose deaths among former Kane County Jail inmates decreased in 2019, after Kane County Sheriff Ron Hain implemented programming to help the inmates deal with their addictions while incarcerated. According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, Hain saw the need for substance abuse treatment while inmates were in jail because of the number of overdose deaths in recent years.
