"downtown" Troy Eskew Brown

The Model City lost an icon on Saturday (12/30) as “Downtown” Troy Eskew Brown passed away. He was 69 years young. Troy (pictured here at that iconic popcorn popper that’s only slightly more of a landmark than was Troy himself) spent 47 years behind the counter at Wallace’s News on Broad Street.
