Russian president Vladimir Putin warned that lifting long-range missile restrictions on Ukraine would mean that Nato countries would be at war with Russia, The Guardian reports. Said Putin: “If this decision is made, it will mean nothing less than the direct participation of Nato countries, the United States, and European countries in the war in Ukraine.” He added that would mean they were “fighting Russia.” New York Times: Biden poised to approve Ukraine’s use of long-range Western weapons in Russia.

New York’s highest court on Thursday rejected former President Trump’s appeal to lift his gag order after he was convicted in his hush money case, Axios reports.

“Federal authorities are preparing to file criminal charges over Iran’s alleged hack and leak attack against Donald Trump’s presidential campaign,” the Washington Post reports. “The FBI investigation has focused on an online persona named ‘Robert’ who contacted American reporters, these people said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to describe details of an ongoing investigation.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told reporters that he believes conservative activist Laura Loomer to be “toxic” and he advised Donald Trump to “make sure this doesn’t become a bigger story,” the HuffPost reports. Loomer responded on X: “We all know you’re gay, Lindsey… And that’s ok. It’s ok. It’s 2024. There’s nothing wrong with gay people.

“The judge in the election interference case against Donald Trump and several co-defendants in Georgia has thrown out three counts in the indictment — including two counts brought against the former president,” NBC News reports. “Judge Scott McAfee wrote in his decision released Thursday that the counts could no longer be allowed to stand because they involved accusations of perjury or false statements under federal jurisdiction.”
