MORGANTOWN, W. V. — UCF saw its postseason hopes go up in smoke as West Virginia’s CJ Donaldson scored two rushing touchdowns, leading the Mountaineers to a 31-21 win over the Knights Saturday.
The loss knocks UCF (4-7) out of bowl contention and guarantees back-to-back losing seasons for the first time since the 2015-16 seasons.

The redshirt freshman quarterback, who was making his third career start and second straight on the road, completed 52% (11 of 21) of his passes for 172 yards and a touchdown.

An 18-year-old man died early Sunday after being shot in Lauderhill, police said.
Officers with the Lauderhill Police Department responded to a shooting at about 2:59 a.m. Sunday in the 2400 block of NW 41st Avenue, where they located the victim in a parking lot. He had multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
The victim, who was not named by police Sunday, was taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead.
The police said early Sunday that they currently have no motive or suspects.
Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call the department at 954-497-4700 or call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 (TIPS).
