ACLU, Cranston settle lawsuit over signs on public property

WWII pilot from R.I. finally laid to rest in emotional service

75 years after he died in a plane crash in Europe after saving nine fellow crewmen, Lt. John Dudley Crouchley Jr. was buried with military honors at the North Burial Ground in Bristol, with dozens of relatives and members of the community in attendance. “It’s emotional,” said John Dudley Crouchley IV, his grandson, “but it’s almost like a homecoming.”
