Suspect carrying assault rifle burglarizes 2 Arab businesses

Arab police have released security footage of the burglaries. Police could not send the video to AL.com Thursday night, but AL.com's news partner, WHNT News 19, obtained the footage earlier in the day. The video shows a masked man breaking into two businesses while carrying what appears to be an assault rifle.

North Huntsville man found stabbed in front yard

Police say the victim was found lying in his front yard near the intersection of Ellington Road close to 5 p.m. He was transported to Huntsville Hospital's emergency room, but police don't believe his injuries are life-threatening.

Emergency crews rescue man from drowning in pool at Huntsville apartment complex

Emergency personnel responded to a call at Quail Pointe Apartments on Henderson Road shortly before 6 p.m. HEMSI Chief Operating Officer Don Webster said crews found a man in his mid-20s who was unresponsive. Crews got him breathing again and rushed him to Huntsville Hospital's trauma center.
