For the love of 'The Goonies'; See photos from the Village of Providence's first outdoor movie night in Huntsville

The crowd lounged back in lawn chairs and blankets while "The Goonies" played on a 30-foot screen. The vendors and surrounding restaurants gave the movie a little dietary variety one can't get in a theater. Event founder Todd Slyman said the approximately 25 businesses sponsoring this helped ensure it can be free to the public. He said the large turnout is a great sign for the monthly movie event.

 

NASA's live stream of tonight's meteor shower to include views from Huntsville

The never-before-seen meteor shower should hit close to midnight and run through Saturday's first few hours. NASA says 200 meteors may whiz by in an hour. There could even be more. in an hour may be possible. Between 100 and 400 shooting stars are expected to whiz by in an hour. NASA experts say there hasn't been a shower like this before.
