The study, published last week in the journal PLOS ONE, found that birds living in the higher-elevation forests could lose a majority of their habitat due to the global warming projected by the end of the century.

Kalanianaole collision fatal for rider of moped

A moped rider was killed in a collision with a vehicle on Kalanianaole Highway in Aina Haina on Wednesday afternoon. The accident happened at about 2:45 p.m. between East Hind and West Hind drives.

 

Youth arrested in BB gun shootings

Police have arrested a second suspect in connection with an incident earlier this month in which a 15-year-old boy was injured by shots fired from a BB gun. Because the suspect is a minor, police are not releasing the person’s age or specifying the charges in the arrest that took place early Wednesday morning.
