(By Jack Horan, Special Correspondent) After an all-night bus ride from Norfolk, Va., the Charlotte Checkers got one of their most rewarding wins of the season, defeating the defending American Hockey League champion Hershey Bears 4-2 Sunday at Time Warner Cable Arena.Mike Murphy stopped 42 of 44 shots, and right wing Jerome Samson scored twice, including an empty-netter with 4.2 seconds to go that sealed the win.
