During a Sunday interview on Face the Nation, Brennan asked Barrasso if Hegseth had the qualities needed to run the Pentagon under President-elect Donald Trump. "Well, he certainly has the qualities that we need to lead the Pentagon," the senator insisted.

Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy slammed former First Lady Laura Bush after she declined to shake President-elect Donald Trump's hand at former President Jimmy Carter's funeral. During Sunday's Fox & Friends broadcast, host co-host Charlie Hurt noted that former Vice President Mike Pence had congratulated Trump on his 2020 victory at the funeral. Capos-Duffy pointed out that the funeral also marked the anniversary of the death of former First Lady Melania Trump's mother. "And I just thought it was so dignified the way she carried herself," Campos-Duffy opined.

Vice President-elect J. D. Vance reminded officials in Greenland that the U. S. military maintained troops in the autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark. During an interview on Fox News Sunday, host Shannon Bream asked Vance about Trump refusing to rule out the use of military force to take possession of Greenland. "What's the deal with Greenland and the Panama Canal?" Bream wondered.
