Trooper Tyler Atkins was in his vehicle at Colorado 115 and Little Turkey Creek Road in El Paso County at around 3:44 p.m. when the other driver crashed into him, CSP officials said in a news release. He was airlifted to the hospital and later released, according to the state patrol.
