Looking at tumultuous 3-year tenure of former St. Louis jail commissioner

St. Louis parted ways with its jail commissioner, Jennifer Clemons-Abdullah, over the weekend. “Today, Jennifer Clemons-Abdullah’s employment with the City of St. Louis was separated effective immediately. Tammy Ross is currently acting as the Commissioner of Corrections,” Mayor Tishaura Jones' director of communications, Conner Kerrigan, said Saturday in a statement. Tammy Ross on Saturday was named the jail's acting commissioner.
