Australian gambling ads reform delayed until 2025 amid industry concerns

Planned gambling ads reform in Australia has been delayed until next year due to resistance from across the industry. The reforms from the Albanese government (Australia’s federal government), proposed by Communications Minister Michelle Rowland, included various measures, including banning online gambling ads, restricting gambling ads during sporting matches, and limiting ads to two per hour on television. However, the proposal has now been delayed until 2025, according to Sky News, after it failed to gain Senate support.
