A snowstorm swirling in Colorado on Tuesday is covering mountain roads with snow and ice, making travel hazardous due to slick conditions, according to the National Weather Service. UPDATED FORECAST: Up to 3 more feet of snow forecast for mountains, storm moves to Denver overnight NWS forecasters said the roads, especially mountain passes, are “quickly deteriorating“ and will continue to worsen as snow intensifies throughout the day. As of 6:30 a.m., multiple Waze users had reported icy roads and traffic jams along eastbound Interstate 70 in the mountains, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
