Climate change is affecting how snowbirds and sunbirds migrate during the winter

Snowbirds have long flocked South for their golden years to escape the cold, but a study found those numbers have reversed over the last 10 to 20 years thanks to climate change. For over 50 years, Florida and other sunny Southern states have experienced a migration pattern: the influx of the snowbird, a not-so-rare breed of Northern-state dwellers seeking to escape winter by flocking south to join their sunbird counterparts.
