A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder after police found a woman dead inside an apartment in Denver’s Civic Center neighborhood. Officers responded to reports of a disturbance and possible drug-related emergency at an apartment in the 800 block of North Acoma Street at 10:22 p.m. Oct. 20, according to the Denver Police Department. Police found the body of 35-year-old Natalia Carter in the apartment. Investigators later found Carter suffered injuries “consistent with significant trauma” and arrested Armijo. Armijo is in custody at the Downtown Detention Center.
