It’s almost that time when America pauses to salute veterans for their patriotism, service and sacrifice in the name of freedom. Veterans Day, celebrated on Nov. 11 every year, commemorates the signing of the armistice to end World War I on Nov. 11, 1918. In South Florida, cities are joining forces with veterans’ and nonprofit groups, businesses and even a sports team to honor members of all military branches for their dedication to the country.
