Comment on WSJ: Elon Musk Is In Regular Contact With Putin. Why?

By ERIC TUCKER, ZEKE MILLER and MICHAEL BALSAMO WASHINGTON (AP) — Chinese hackers engaged in a broader espionage operation targeted cellphones used by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, his running mate, JD Vance, and people associated with the Democratic campaign of Kamala Harris, people familiar with the matter said Friday. It was not immediately clear what data, if any, may have been accessed.

This week, The Guardian published a pre-election bombshell alleging that Donald Trump sexually assaulted a model in 1993—the latest in a string of dozens of similar accusations dating back decades. Stacey Williams, now 56, claims that Trump groped her during a visit to Trump Tower, in an encounter she said was orchestrated by Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased financier and convicted sexual predator, whom she had been dating.

With just over a week until Election Day on Nov. 5, celebrities are continuing to hit the campaign trail in swing states. They have a powerful role to play in encouraging people to vote, experts say. “Celebrities are helpful for mobilization, particularly with respect to voter registration,” says Andra Gillespie, a political science professor at Emory University.

The Wall Street Journal published a stunning story last night (sorry, it's paywalled) about Elon Musk being in regular touch with Vladimir Putin since 2022. Jonathan Lemire had conservative writer Matt Walsh as a guest to talk about it. "Elon Musk has been in frequent contact with Putin, after the invasion of Ukraine," Lemire said. "Musk is now Donald Trump's most visible surrogate, on the campaign trail all the time, promised an influential role in the government.

If Kamala Harris is elected the first woman President, it will be because women voters put her in the Oval Office. And if women voters put her there, it will be in large part because of abortion. In the final days of a deadlocked campaign, the Vice President is heading to Texas—a state her campaign calls “ground zero of extreme Trump abortion bans”—for a speech Friday evening on reproductive freedom.

CNN contributor Van Jones made a very astute and important observation while being part of a panel discussion on Kamala Harris's CNN Town Hall performance Wednesday night. This was a shout out to the viewers as well as the media, who have doing its part in normalizing Trump's insanity and fascist ideals.
