Comment on Chris Perkins: Dolphins defenders don’t think opponents will take it easy on Tua — ‘You gotta take off his head’

MIAMI GARDENS — I asked a few Miami Dolphins defenders what their mentality would be if they were facing a quarterback who has had a history of concussions.  I asked them, obviously with Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on my mind, whether they’d take it easy on the opposing quarterback if they knew the stakes, if they knew one hit could end his career, or even put him out for a few weeks. The Dolphins defenders said, in a respectful way, they’d have absolutely no mercy. “It’s football,” said Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks, who identifies as Christian ahead of being a linebacker.
