More specifics are in as Walgreens trims its footprint in Denver and around the country. A Walgreens at the corner of Havana Street and Colfax Avenue in Aurora will cease operations on Nov. 13, according to the location’s phone system. A day later, the Walgreens at 300 S. Federal Blvd. in Denver’s Westwood neighborhood will close its doors. The stores join another at the corner of Colfax and Sheridan Boulevard in closing next month. Illinois-based Walgreens announced during an earnings call Tuesday morning that the company will close 1,200 stores, or about 14 percent.
