An administrator at Mountain Range High School was arrested on Monday on suspicion of sending “inappropriate” pictures to an underage student. Tate Drane, 27, was arrested by Westminster Police Department on three charges, including sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, internet sexual exploitation of a child and internet luring of a child, according to a department release. Several reports made over the weekend through Safe2Tell, an anonymous reporting hotline for students, stated the he sent “inappropriate photos to an underage student.” Drane was arrested after further investigation. District administrators could not be reached Monday afternoon to answer questions about whether Drane was still employed with the high school.
