A man who deputies said tried to force his way into a woman’s car Sunday afternoon in Pompano Beach was shot and killed by a witness who intervened, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Brian Semil, 37, of Pompano Beach, was shot in the parking lot of a RaceTrac gas station in the 500 block of West Atlantic Boulevard shortly before 5 p.m., where there had been a “disturbance,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
