Signs, signs, everywhere there’s signs | Opinion

That Harris/Walz or Trump/Vance sign in your neighbor’s yard might be an annoying eyesore to you, but they have a long history in our democratic process. According to a recent newswire article published in The Hill and elsewhere, political yard signs date back to 1828, when John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson made “political posters” popular. Their original purpose was to create greater awareness for lesser-known candidates.
